Mercedes “Merci” Llarinas – Angeles
Ms. Mercedes “Merci” Llarinas – Angeles (Philippines), has been a development worker and activist for social change in the last thirty years. As a student leader in the University of the Philippines at Los Banos during martial rule years in the Philippines, she helped to revive the College Editors’ Guild in Southern Tagalog (CEG-ST) which grew to 20 member schools at the time. The campus press played a key role in breaking the silence imposed by censorship under martial law in the Philippines.
Atty. Corazon Fabros (Philippines) is lawyer by profession and has been with the anti-bases, anti-nuclear and peace movement for more than 30 years. She is a founding member of the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers and the Counsels for the Defense of Liberties in the Philippines.
Dr. Zenaida Quezada-Reyes (Philippines) took her Doctor of Philosophy with specialization in Philippine Studies at the University of the Philippines in 1993. She finished her Master of Arts in Education with specialization in Educational Administration at the Philippine Normal University in 1987.

Melba Marginson (previously Melba de Guzman) has worked in the area of multicultural and women’s affairs since migrating to Australia in 1989. She facilitated the formation of several women’s organizations and mentored immigrants and refugees. She is a persistent voice for women’s rights and migrant and refugee people’s issues in Australia.

Dr. Nirupama Prakash (India) is professor of sociology at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Rajasthan, India. She holds the administrative position of Chief, Women Studies & Societal Development Unit at the Institute. Prof. Prakash is the Coordinator, University Grants Commission Center for Women Studies at BITS, Pilani.
Associate Professor Mandira Tamrakar (Nepal) is a faculty member currently of Central Department of Home Science and Women Studies which is running Post Graduate Diploma in Women Studies and Master Degree in Gender Studies.
